Job Responsibilities

Achieving sales targets

1. Receive targets from ASMs     
2. Start appointing new agents by:    
3. Identifying the agents in the area allotted     
4. Counting the number of shops in the area and classifying them into tea shops, hotels, restaurants etc Identify potential of milk sales     
5. Approach milk agent and fix appointments     
6. Get to know which brands are being sold and convince the agent to take up the Dodla brand   

Covering uncovered areas

1. Identify new routes on the areas assigned and also new areas; communicate the same to ASMs      
2. Accompany ASMs on visit to new area     
3. Identify new agents, call them for a meeting and explain:     
4. The company history     
5. The products sold and the kind of quality offered     
6. The incentives an agent would get on the sales of the milk     
7. Follow up with all agents interested in selling the milk     
8. Take orders, forward to dispatcher      
9. Handling institutional sales     
10. Visit large institutions like colleges, schools, hospitals, banks and hotels with the ASM    
11. Fix up meetings with the Purchase Manager/Purchase In-charge    
12. Explain the history of the company    
13. The quality of milk offered     
14. The discounts offered for bulk buying     
15. Convince the purchase manager to order bulk requirements      
16. Discuss mode of payment and explain about our cash collection systems     

Business Development/Sales Promotions

1. Communicate all new schemes offered by the company to agents     
2. Keep track of competitor promotional activities, inform the ASMs of the same     
3. Convince shops/agents to put up banners, boards, paintings etc to be put at the shops     

Daily reports

1. Check collection sheet     
2. Prepare DSRs     
3. Discuss issues with ASMs     
4. Prepare monthly reports     
   

Skills

Functional Skills:

1. Knowledge of competitor prices and sales figures    
2. Knowledge of Dodla Products     
3. Geographical knowledge of the city     
4. Demographic knowledge of the city     

Technical Skills:

1. Working knowledge of computers: PowerPoint, excel, word and email management
