Executive - Maintenance

Position Summary

1. The Maintenance lead of the plant will oversee all daily upkeep and maintenance operations of the plant ensuring policies and procedures are followed, develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, productivity and morale of Team.
2. Improving efficiencies, asset utilization, capacity assessment and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
3. Lead all brown-field projects on the site.

Key Responsibility:

1. Maintenance Management:

• Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities for all plant equipment including WTP, stamping machines, compressors, and boilers.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Lead and support the maintenance team in performing preventive and corrective maintenance.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with government regulations for equipment calibration, electrical inspections, and other relevant standards.
• Manage annual electrical inspections and maintain necessary documentation.

3. Operational Support:

• Provide technical support to the plant team for planned maintenance (PM) and breakdowns.
• Ensure that all utilities, including DDRT and SDRT (Pallet truck), air compressors, and cold room systems, are effectively maintained and operated.

4. Team Management:

• Supervise and develop a skilled team of mechanical, electrical, and utility operations personnel.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members.

5. SAP & Systems Management:

• Utilize SAP for maintenance management, including work orders, asset management, and inventory control.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting within the SAP system.

6. Plant Audits & Compliance:

• Conduct regular plant audits to ensure adherence to maintenance standards and procedures.
• Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and compliance status.

7. Equipment & Utilities Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of all plant utilities including compressors, boilers, and cold rooms.
• Ensure effective handling and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Utility cost optimization

Key knowledge & Skills

1. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
2. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
3. Having hands-on knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand fulfillment, inventory
4. Strong capabilities of building and leading teams, logical decision-making, hands-on-ness and exemplifying a CAN-DO attitude
5. Readiness to work in a poultry processing unit
6. Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, and refrigeration systems.
7. Proficient in reading and grasping blueprints, schematics, AUTOCAD drawing, layouts and equipment manuals.
8. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
9. Ability to work in cold, wet, and noisy environments typical of food production areas.
10. Ability to visit plant in night shift as and when needed.
