Key Responsibilities:

1. Label Checking and Verification

• Review and verify all product labels for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant food regulatory standards.
• Ensure ingredient lists, allergen declarations, nutritional panels, and product claims (e.g., “gluten-free,” “high protein”) are accurate and approved as per applicable guidelines.

2. Serving Size and Number of Servings Verification

• Verify that serving sizes and the number of servings per pack are displayed correctly in line with FSSAI, FDA, and UK FSA requirements.
• Cross-check serving details against nutritional data and formulation documents.

3. Measurement and Unit Compliance

• Ensure correct and consistent use of measurement units across regions:

• India:

  FSSAI standards and metric system

• USA:

  FDA labeling with customary units

• UK:

  FSA standards with both metric and imperial units
• Verify that all conversions between measurement systems are accurate.

4. Address and General Label Review

• Review manufacturer, packer, and importer/exporter details for regulatory compliance.
• Verify batch number, MRP, manufacturing and expiry dates, and other mandatory declarations.

5. Coordination with Design Team

• Work closely with the design team to communicate label corrections and ensure accurate incorporation of approved content into final artwork.
• Ensure all updates meet both

  branding and regulatory requirements.

6. Label Repository Maintenance

• Maintain a

  well-organized, version-controlled label repository

  (digital and/or physical).
• Ensure approved label versions are systematically stored for easy retrieval during audits or inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field.

• In-depth knowledge of

  food labeling laws and standards

  (FSSAI, FDA, UK FSA).
• Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple label projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with

  label artwork, packaging formats, and regulatory documentation processes.
