As the Kitchen Manager at the Sheraton Hotel, you will be responsible for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Your culinary talents will be showcased as you lead the staff, manage all food-related functions, and work towards improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Leading the kitchen management team and providing direction for all day-to-day operations. - Understanding employee positions well enough to perform duties in their absence and ensuring adequate replacement. - Providing guidance, setting performance standards, and monitoring performance of subordinates. - Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation. - Developing and implementing guidelines for purchasing and receiving areas. - Establishing and communicating goals for performance, budget, and team objectives. - Ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. - Providing and supporting service behaviors that exceed customer expectations. - Managing day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations. - Identifying developmental needs of others and coaching them to improve their skills. - Administering performance appraisals and progressive discipline procedures for direct report managers.
