The Association of People with Disability (APD) is a pioneering nonprofit organization based in Bangalore, India. For over six decades, APD has been working to empower people with disabilities through sustainable, community-based programs in health, education, livelihoods, and advocacy.


Position Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant (EA) to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the CEO of APD. The EA will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, efficient communication, and strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role demands discretion, initiative, and exceptional organizational and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Support


  • Manage CEO’s calendar, appointments, and travel plans efficiently.


  • Prepare and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and reports.


  • Attend and record minutes of key meetings; track action items and follow-ups.


  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest discretion.


Strategic Support


  • Assist in coordinating strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.


  • Conduct research, gather data, and provide insights to support decision-making.


  • Draft communications, proposals, and briefing notes for internal and external use.


Stakeholder Coordination


  • Liaise with board members, donors, partners, and government officials as needed.


  • Facilitate smooth communication between the CEO’s office and various departments.


  • Represent the CEO's office professionally in interactions and correspondence.


Administrative Management


  • Oversee document filing, correspondence, expense reports, and travel reimbursements.


  • Support the CEO in managing time and priorities effectively.


  • Maintain records of key decisions, plans, and performance indicators.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.


  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting senior leadership (preferably in NGOs or development sector).


  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal); Kannada proficiency is a plus.


  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual collaboration tools.


  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity.

  • Passion for social impact and working with disability-related causes.


  • Ability to adapt quickly and work independently under tight deadlines.


  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
