Hiring: Executive Assistant – Director’s Office (Delhi)

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to work closely with Shivam Arya, host of Diary of a Publisher (DOAP) and Director at Pentagon Press.

Pentagon Press is India’s leading publishing house on defence, national security, and geopolitics, with over 800+ titles that shape academic, policy, and strategic thought. Alongside publishing, we host the Diary of a Publisher (DOAP) podcast, a platform for deep conversations on defence, leadership, and India’s strategic rise. We also convene Kalam & Kavach, a flagship strategic dialogue where the country’s top military leaders, policymakers, and private sector innovators come together to push real change in the defence ecosystem.

This is more than an EA role, it’s a chance to sit at the heart of India’s defence and strategic dialogue ecosystem.

Location

Delhi (with flexibility to travel for client meetings and projects)

Experience

3–7 years (EA / Operations)

What You'll Do

• Manage the Director’s calendar, meetings, and priorities
• Coordinate communication and respond to emails on behalf of the Director
• Prepare briefing notes, documents, and presentations for high-level meetings
• Draft slides, reports, and written material for publishing and podcasting projects
• Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment

What we're looking for

• Graduate / Postgraduate with 3–7 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Tech-savvy: proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing business needs
• Willingness to travel and manage flexible hours
