As an Editor at Diary of a Publisher and Pentagon Press , you’ll play a key role in shaping how India engages with ideas on geopolitics, national security, and civilisational strategy. You will be responsible for refining books, podcasts, and multi-platform content for clarity, precision, and tone. Success in this role looks like: consistently publishing high-quality content that reads intelligently, resonates with audiences, and upholds our credibility as a thought leadership platform. Responsibilities Edit manuscripts, podcast scripts, YouTube descriptions, and summaries to meet publishing and media standards. Ensure consistency in language, tone, and terminology across platforms. Refine written content for DOAP podcast episodes, newsletters, and book intros. Collaborate with video editors by refining timestamps, titles, and content structure. Proofread and enhance social media content (LinkedIn posts, carousels, threads, tweets). Maintain a library of style and editorial guidelines, and help train junior writers when needed. Qualifications Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. 1–3 years of editorial or content writing experience in publishing, journalism, podcasting, or strategic communication. Familiarity with geopolitics, military affairs, or Indian strategic literature is a plus. Strong editing judgment and an eye for structure, logic, and narrative clarity. Ability to meet deadlines and work cross-functionally with writers, designers, editors, and the host. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, International Relations, or related field preferred.
