Events Executive

As a Banquet Supervisor at Marriott International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the staff works as a cohesive team. Your responsibilities will include inspecting the grooming and attire of staff, rectifying any deficiencies, and communicating effectively with guests, other employees, or departments to meet guest needs. You will also be responsible for setting up the banquet area/room, ensuring cleanliness, and proper arrangement of furniture and equipment. Additionally, you will be expected to inspect and maintain table set-ups, resolve any issues, and document relevant information in the department logbook. Your key responsibilities will involve assisting management in various tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees. You will be required to develop positive working relationships with team members, support common goals, and adhere to company policies and safety procedures. Your role will also include maintaining a clean and professional appearance, welcoming guests according to company standards, and providing assistance as needed. Furthermore, you will be expected to speak clearly and professionally, adhere to quality standards, and perform physical tasks such as lifting objects and moving around the work area. Qualifications required for this role include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and 1 year of supervisory experience. No specific license or certification is necessary for this position.
