EV Thermal Management Controls

Job Description Job Role: Electric Vehicle (EV) Thermal Management System Engineer Essential Qualifications:-B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication Minimum 60% marks in academics Desirable Qualifications:-M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Thermal Engineering Project work related to Electric Vehicles (EV) / Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) Key Responsibilities:- Define system architecture and diagrams of EV thermal management systems. Define controller architecture, interfaces (electrical & physical), and functions for EV thermal management. Develop detailed requirements for EV thermal system & controls. Perform system simulations, sizing & optimization for EV thermal systems. Develop controller functions and software for thermal management (logic development, MIL, HIL, and vehicle-level validation using Model-Based Design). Develop and implement diagnostics for thermal controllers. Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements. Conduct functional testing, benchmarking, and database creation. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and consultants for development activities. Technical / Functional Skills Hands-on experience in system & controls for automotive thermal management systems (ICE/xEV) and/or HVAC systems. Proficiency in thermal simulations using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools. Strong knowledge of Model-Based Design (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow. Experience in controller-level (HIL) and vehicle-level testing. Exposure to HEV/EV regulations & standards such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048, AIS 084. Strong ECU testing & electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety). Behavioral Competencies Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
