Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled MSBI ETL Developer with strong hands-on experience in SSIS, Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data integration, data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and modern cloud-based data pipelines. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise-level ETL and data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Design & Development
- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using SSIS, Power BI, and SQL Server.
- Build end-to-end ETL/ELT solutions aligned with business requirements and data architecture standards.
- Perform data profiling, data cleansing, and validation to ensure high-quality data in the warehouse.
- SQL Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in SQL/T-SQL, including:
- DML/DDL statements
- Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers
- Indexing & Query Optimization
- Cursors, Execution Plans, Import/Export utilities
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Design and manage ADF Pipelines, including integration of SSIS packages.
- Convert SSIS jobs to ADF and schedule pipelines using various triggers (schedule, tumbling window, event-based).
- Build linked services, datasets, ADF activities, and Mapping Data Flows for complex transformations.
- Work with Azure & Self-Hosted Integration Runtime and implement performance optimization.
Process & Collaboration
- Follow best practices in CI/CD, Git, and Deployment processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Work with DBAs, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Create and maintain documentation such as technical specs, mapping sheets, and data lineage.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL/ADF jobs for improved performance and reliability.
- Stay updated with ETL, MSBI, and Azure trends and adopt best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5–7 years of proven experience as an MSBI ETL Developer.
- Strong expertise in SSIS, Power BI, and SQL Server.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL/T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, execution plans, and data import/export.
- Hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory—pipelines, data flows, linked services, datasets, and triggers.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and dimensional modeling.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC & Agile methodology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in US Healthcare domain.
- Exposure to any analytical/BI tool.
- Working experience with Tableau.
- Experience with Salesforce-based applications.
- Experience with Cognos Reporting.
