Estimation Coordinator - Location Chennai, India

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, including scope of work, drawings, BOQ, specifications, and client requirements.

• Identify ambiguities and prepare technical queries for clarification.

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on received quotations and work productivity.

• Develop BOQ unit rates, vendor lists, datasheets, and compliance statements as per tender requirements.

• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of supplier/subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare price comparison sheets and final cost summaries.

• Participate in online meetings with suppliers, procurement, and internal teams to ensure cost control, standardization, and quality compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• 57 years of experience in electrical estimation/tendering, with at least 2-3 years in the UAE (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution, Lighting, Earthing, and Power Systems.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Primavera (P6) preferred.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and multitasking abilities.
