Estate Manager

Core Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Coordination:

o Develop and implement work schedules for horticultural staff.

o Plan planting, pruning, irrigation, and fertilization schedules.

o Coordinate with clients, managers, or stakeholders to meet project goals.

2. Plant Care and Maintenance:

o Supervise the planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control of plants, shrubs, and trees.

o Monitor plant health and diagnose issues like diseases or pest infestations.

o Ensure proper maintenance of lawns, gardens, greenhouses, or nursery areas.

3. Team Supervision:

o Train, guide, and supervise horticultural workers or gardeners.

o Assign tasks and ensure quality standards are met.

o Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback or additional training as needed.

4. Equipment and Resource Management:

o Oversee the use, maintenance, and repair of tools, machinery, and irrigation systems.

o Ensure proper storage and inventory of horticultural supplies like fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds.

5. Health and Safety:

o Implement safety protocols to protect workers and visitors.

o Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards.

o Educate staff on safe handling of chemicals and equipment.

6. Budget and Record Keeping:

o Manage budgets for horticultural projects or operations.

o Maintain accurate records of planting schedules, inventory, and maintenance activities.

o Prepare reports on project progress or operational performance.

7. Design and Innovation:

o Contribute to landscape or garden design projects.

o Introduce innovative techniques or sustainable practices to improve productivity and environmental impact.

8. Customer and Public Interaction:

o Communicate with clients, community members, or visitors about horticultural projects.

o Provide guidance on plant care or landscaping techniques.

o Organize workshops, events, or tours (in public gardens or educational settings).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
