Equity Research Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, a keen interest in financial markets, and the capability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.

This role offers hands-on exposure to market analysis, trading models, and investment research.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical research on equities
• Prepare research reports, valuation summaries, and investment theses
• Monitor market movements, earnings, and sector developments
• Assist in building and testing quantitative trading models
• Support the team with daily and weekly market insights
• Maintain databases and ensure accuracy of financial information

Requirements

• Finance graduates (Freshers) preferred (B.Com, BBA, BMS, MBA Finance, Economics, etc.)
• NISM certification is a must (at least one relevant module)
• Strong knowledge of stock markets, financial statements, and valuation concepts
• Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Python/R is an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
