### Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled *eQuest Energy Modeller* to join our green building consultancy. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in building energy modeling using *eQuest*, as well as a solid understanding of building science principles, HVAC systems, and relevant green certification standards (e.g., LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, ECBC, ASHRAE, or other local codes). Your primary responsibility will be to develop, simulate, and optimize building energy models, generate reports, and provide actionable insights for energy efficiency and sustainability projects.

### Key Responsibilities

- *Develop and calibrate building energy models* using eQuest for projects ranging from concept to detailed design.

- *Interpret architectural and MEP drawings* to extract all relevant data and accurately input building envelope, system, and operational information.

- *Generate simulation outputs* to support code compliance, green certification, and energy analysis/optimization studies.

- *Perform sensitivity analysis* and propose solutions to optimize energy use and reduce operational costs.

- *Prepare clear, professional reports* and present findings/recommendations to internal teams and clients.

- Stay up-to-date with evolving codes, rating systems (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE, ECBC), and best practices in the modeling domain.

### Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Building Science, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum *2 years of hands-on experience* with eQuest energy modeling (full cycle: setup, input, simulation, interpretation).

- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, envelope assemblies, daylighting, and building operations.

- Proficient in *interpreting building plans, technical specifications, and mechanical schedules*.

- Familiarity with green building rating systems, energy codes, and compliance pathways.

- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).

### Preferred Skills

- Experience with other simulation tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES VE, HAP) is a plus.

- Previous involvement in LEED, IGBC, GRIHA, or similar certification projects.

- Experience collaborating with architects, MEP engineers, and clients.

- Knowledge of scripting or automation for simulation workflows.
