Position : Engineer/Sr. Engineer- Electrical system Location : Bangalore Minimum education : BE/B. Tech (Electrical) Industry : Building Services / Utilities & Plant Engineering / Energy management consultancy Experience : Min 3~5 years related experience on Electrical infrastructure system (, DG sets, Power Transformer, HT/LT distribution, lighting, Fire & Safety systems, IBMS) Designing, Installation, Testing & commissioning, Project, energy assessment, its performance measurement and report preparation in the commercial building/ Industrial utilities /Manufacturing industries/ Data Center sectors. Successfully lead & completed the minimum 3 (Three) Electrical infrastructure projects or successfully implemented 2 (Two) energy management projects. A sound knowledge of MEP infrastructure system and its control systems along with the best practices of energy conservation measures. Additional capabilities like EPI, EUI, PUE calculation, Star ratings, ROI and payback calculation, and financial modelling of energy management projects. Roles : Will be responsible for Gap analysis & Solutioning of Capacity Utilization, Root cause analysis (RCA) of system Breakdown for Fault and Performance management, Suggesting the technical upgrades, Planning the retrofitting, Defining the SLA with OEM, Providing technical supports to Energy Management for Performance analysis and O&M practice for system maintenance & overhauling of the Electrical systems Responsibilities : Carrying out site inspections and surveys, conduct on site system due-diligence & Analyze performance & utilization of existing Electrical systems. Collate the Electrical system data for bench marking its Performance & Utilization as per the industries standard & best practices. Detailed Engineering, Testing & Commissioning and Trouble shooting of Electrical systems on site. Provide technical support to Customer/Procurement for Electrical system selection & finalizing specification during the Engineering & Construction phase. Provide technical support to Energy Management team for Performance evaluation & Defining KPI of Electrical systems on site. Provide technical support to the Operation & Maintenance team for defining SLA, Breakdown & RCA of Electrical systems onsite with OEM. Conduct the walk-through assessment to analyze and identify the energy saving potential in the existing MEP infrastructure systems through retrofits / upgradation / modernization / digitalization / Automation or energy management practices. Skills, knowledge and abilities: Must have excellent Oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and prioritization skills. Hands-on experience on working & trouble shooting of Electrical systems like Transformer, HT/LT distribution & Switch gears, Induction motors, Starter panels, VFD, SMPS, Battery Banks, Earthing, Lift/Elevators, Fire & Safety- FAS, Access control, Fire Hydrant, Power quality & Harmonics. Hands-on experience on control & the safeties available in the Electrical systems mentioned above. Basic personal computer, business software skill and familiarity with reporting tools are added advantage. Basic understanding of various standards like IS/IEC/IEEE/CE/UL for Electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret systems and construction documents. Ability to accomplish tasks timely and with minimal supervision. Ability to lead & mentoring a group of Electrical engineers & interact openly with the OEM. Should be able to work in virtual teams and lead teams as practice expands.

Knowledge of the building design and construction process, with emphasis on mechanical Knowledge of third-party green building rating systems (LEED, Zero Carbon Building, Passive House etc.) Strong working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55 standards Knowledge of NECB 2017-2020 standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a building design or building science discipline that could include: Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Building Science or similar from a reputable University in United States, United Kingdom or Canada. 3-5+ years of energy modeling experience for high-performance projects, building certification (i.e. LEED, Passive House, Zero Carbon Building Design, EnergyStar, etc.), and energy code compliance 2-3 years experience with IES-VE. Proficient with ModelIT, Apache, ApacheHVAC, MacroFlow, RadianceIES and VistaPro modules. Skilled with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55 requirements Ability to independently read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, perform takeoffs and effectively consolidate energy model inputs Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a building design or building science discipline that could include: Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Building Science or similar from a reputable University in United States, United Kingdom or Canada.
