Position Overview:

Senior Specialist – Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead program design and implementation in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Resilience initiatives.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for community resilience.
• Provide technical support for climate change adaptation and sustainable environmental management.
• Liaise with donors (AFD, ADB, World Bank) and ensure project compliance with donor standards and reporting.
• Collaborate with government bodies, technical agencies, and community stakeholders.
• Manage project teams and build local capacities through training and workshops.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and presentations.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Disaster Management / Climate Studies.
• Minimum

  12 years of relevant work experience

  (excluding internships) in disaster management, risk reduction, environmental assessment, and climate change.
• Prior experience working on

  at least one donor-funded project

  (AFD, ADB, World Bank).
• Strong project management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi is an advantage).
