Key Responsibilities:
- The site EHS Executive is responsible and accountable for overall EHS activities at the site level as per the factory act rules.
- The site EHS executive will have to strictly adhere to fundamental duties defined in factory act 1948 and amendment thereafter. which is enclosed herewith as annexure for reference.
- Conduct regular plant rounds and report unsafe acts and conditions with Corrective Actions in Gensuite System.
- Mentor and train site Team for Good Safety Practices, Key document of IMS and Gensuite Applications.
- Implement and support centralized EHS planning to maintain consistency with corporate standards across departments within the site.
- Strict adhere to SOPs, Work Instructions & Safety Rules
- Execute and strictly supervise the PTW and LOTO systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams and departments to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and achieve shared safety targets.
- Provide support & assistance to EHS manager for EHS compliance, risk mitigation, and implementation of best practices.
- Conduct periodic internal audit plans and ensure timely closure of observations and compliance tracking.
- Conducting periodic inspections of safety equipment (FHS system, safety shower, etc.) and filling checklists
- Help EHS manager to timely completed & executing EHS infrastructure projects activity.
- Preparing and executing audit observations, and ensure timely compliance with proper supporting evidence
- Overall responsibility for the functionality of all FHS infrastructure at the site, maintaining operational readiness 24/7.
- Data gather and provide to EHS manager for PMS (safety statistics) sheet.
- Executing & preparing timely corrective actions and compliance reporting for site conditions (housekeeping, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions) identified through photos shared by the corporate team via CCTV.
- Data gathers and provides for monthly EHS presentation.
- Regular communication to corporate offices regarding EHS updates, safety systems, and compliances.
- Participating in & Preparing Minutes of Meeting (MOM) for safety committee meetings.
- Preparing daily EHS reports and accident/incident reports and ensure timely submission to the corporate team without fail.
- Preparing & Planning & execution in various safety promotional activity (road safety week, fire services day, environment day, safety week).
- Conducting safety competitions and create awareness.
- Maintaining the Occupational Health Center (OHC), ambulance, and safety briefing areas to ensure readiness and proper functioning.
- Issue Safety Action Memo for repeat violations and non-compliances
- Monitoring of toxic gas readings every two hours. Stop work & evacuate if gas level exceeds the ceiling limit.
- Ensuring PPEs buffer stock is available as per define limit.
- Issuing PPEs for workers, employees, and visitors.
- Ensuring that the PPE matrix is properly followed by all personnel, based on job roles and associated hazards.
- Ensuring use of Air-line respirator during toxic Waste processing.
System & IMS
- Preparing & gathering data supporting evidence for non-conformities identified during internal and external IMS audits
- Preparing & Maintaining All IMS documentation and records and park in common folder monthly basis.
ESG
- Primary collection of ESG data and provide it to EHS Manager.
- Collecting high-resolution photographs of events, celebrations, and training sessions are shared with the corporate office.
Environment
- Support external environmental auditor during site audit and providing necessary data with approval of Manger.
- Preparing housekeeping checklist and ensure proper housekeeping at site and especially during statutory visit.
- Ensure data of APCM, ETP records, etc are being maintained by the department concerned.
- Ensure APCM are always in working condition. Maintaining records of environmental monitoring.
Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Participate and preparing risk assessment activity compliance such as Third-party audit report, MOC, PSSR, SMS, HIRA, aspect impact , HAZOP and JSA.
Document Management and standardization
- Ensuring & preparing & executing safety signages, posters, and booklets to maintain standards and uniformity.
- Maintain file of document, checklist, statutory visit and replies/compliance submitted to the board.
Emergency and response planning
- Regularly conduct training to ensure the Emergency Response Plan is effective and all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Preparing & assist in accident/ incident reporting and investigation
- Preparing & executing mock drills and ensuring timely compliance with corrective actions.
- Handling all crisis and emergencies at the site level and informing the EHS manager, Business head, production head, other site team members and corporate TS&I team.
Finance and Accounts
- Gathering data and providing it to the EHS Manager for preparation of the EHS budget.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Ensuring safety equipment purchases meet IS standards.
- Preparation of PR, PO and invoice for EHS related activities at Site.
Training, Induction program and skill development
- Regularly conducting TBT and verifying effectiveness and maintaining record.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the training.
- Providing induction, refresher, and visitor training.
Gensuite system
- Regularly updating in Gensuite system.
- All ATS and CR to be closed with proper attachment of evidence.
- All monitoring report and compliance evidence to uploading CC.
- All FIR- incidents are logged with proper RCA using the why-why method update in I&M.
- All the inspection tools checklist & forms to be filled without fail.
- Follow-up for timely closure of audit observations with proper supporting evidence.
- Inspect and audit for effective implementation of PTW and LOTO systems at the operational area for every non-routine activity.
- Review timely and frequent gas monitor and LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) checks to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure that the PPE matrix is properly followed by all personnel, based on job roles and associated hazards.
- Inspect and audit for use of Air-line respirator during toxic Waste processing.
- Follow-up for timely closure of audit observations with proper supporting evidence.
- Inspect and audit for effective implementation of PTW and LOTO systems at the operational area for every non-routine activity.
