Chief Staff (Strategic Business Analyst)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Market Analysis Conduct comprehensive market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning. Analyze industry trends and develop actionable intelligence to guide strategic initiatives. Evaluate potential risks and opportunities in both existing and new markets. 2. Business Performance & Financial Analysis Perform financial analysis, including project feasibility studies, cost-benefit assessments, and profitability reviews. Recommend strategies for revenue growth and cost optimization. Track and report on key business and operational KPIs. 3. Operational Efficiency & Process Optimization Partner with plant and operations teams to drive process efficiency and resource optimization. Recommend improvements in wastewater treatment technologies, energy use, and waste reduction. Explore and propose automation and digitization opportunities to enhance operational output. 4. Project Feasibility & Investment Analysis Lead the preparation of detailed feasibility reports and investment cases for new projects. Analyze capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures, recommending cost-effective alternatives. Support project execution with analytical insights and strategic recommendations. 5. Stakeholder & Client Management Liaise with internal teams such as operations, finance, procurement, and sales to ensure alignment with business objectives. Engage with external stakeholders including government agencies, regulatory authorities, and clients to explore compliance and business opportunities. Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations for senior leadership and investors. 6. Digital Transformation & Data Analytics Utilize data analytics tools to track and improve operational and financial metrics. Develop and implement dashboards and performance reporting systems. Apply AI/ML techniques for predictive analytics, maintenance, and efficiency improvements. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical), Business Administration MBA or equivalent qualification in Business Strategy & Finance with IIM & IIT.
