Job Description

Objective: To deliver high-quality English instruction to students, fostering strong language skills, critical thinking, and appreciation of literature and communication. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Delivery Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English language and literature. Prepare teaching materials in alignment with the prescribed syllabus Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and exams. Provide individualized attention to students needing extra help. Curriculum & Content Development Design innovative teaching aids and digital resources. Develop question papers, grading rubrics, and remedial content. Stay updated on educational trends, NEP updates, and integrate modern methodologies like storytelling, theatre, and activity-based learning. Student Engagement & MentorshipEncourage reading habits, public speaking, and creative writing. Mentor students in debates, elocutions, essay contests, and literary clubs. Support student participation in inter-school/college events and competitions. Administrative DutiesMaintain records of attendance, marks, and academic performance. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development programs, and parent-teacher interactions. Assist with internal and board/university examination duties. Qualifications:Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in English or English Literature (B.A./M.A.) B.Ed. (for school faculty) or NET/Ph.D. (for college/university-level faculty) Skills & Competencies:Excellent command of English (spoken and written) Passion for literature, language, and student learning Strong communication and classroom management skills Familiarity with online teaching tools and digital content creation Creative and collaborative mindset
