Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as Principal cum Economics Lecturer. This role requires a passionate academic leader with expertise in Economics who can lead the institution, oversee academic and administrative functions, and deliver high-quality instruction to students. The ideal candidate will inspire faculty, engage students, and ensure institutional excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As Principal (Administrative):
Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the institution.
Oversee daily operations, including academic programs, faculty management, student affairs, and facilities.
Ensure adherence to educational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NAAC, UGC, state boards).
Develop and implement institutional policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
Represent the college in meetings with external bodies, academic boards, and community stakeholders.
Manage budgets, allocate resources, and ensure financial sustainability.
Foster a positive academic environment that promotes student success and staff development.
Conduct regular faculty evaluations and support professional development.
Promote research, innovation, and co-curricular excellence.
As Economics Lecturer (Academic):
Teach undergraduate/postgraduate courses in Economics as per the curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, and assess student progress through tests and assignments.
Guide students in academic projects, research, and presentations.
Stay updated with current developments in economics and incorporate them into teaching.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic planning.
Provide academic and career counseling to students.
Engage in scholarly research, publications, or conference participation, if applicable.

Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Economics (MA/MSc) from a recognized university.
Ph.D. in Economics or Education (preferred but not always mandatory).
B.Ed/M.Ed for school-affiliated institutions (if required).
Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in an administrative role.
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing academic institutions.
