Roles and Responsibilities
The Engineering Systems Global Operations Leader will be responsible for providing global leadership in planning, organizing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Develpment and Testing Environments. This includes overseeing all aspects of engineering system management, maintenance, and upgrades across multiple sites globally. The role involves working closely with cross functional teams, site leadership to ensure smooth functioning of engineering systems, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for global operations supporting engineering systems used in software development, integration, testing, and related environments.

Partner with site leaders and designated SPOCs to design and implement standardized operating procedures, policies, and best practices for engineering infrastructure.

Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of engineering platforms across all global locations.

Track and analyze key performance indicators for engineering systems, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing necessary improvements.

Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to align infrastructure with development pipelines and regulatory compliance.

Drive global standardization and automation initiatives to enhance operational consistency and efficiency.

Oversee system monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

Manage vendor engagements, including licensing agreements and service level commitments for engineering tools and environments.

Lead a globally distributed team from partner organizations, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

Develop and manage operational budgets, conduct capacity planning, and define long-term infrastructure strategies.

Ensure adherence to global security standards and data protection regulations.

Promote a safe and compliant work environment by upholding safety protocols and environmental guidelines.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on key initiatives and system performance.

Work cross-functionally to streamline engineering processes and optimize workflows for greater agility and productivity.
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in relevant engineering streams or equivalent. Masters degree preferred.

Proven experience (15+ years) in managing engineering systems in a large, multi-site organization.

Strong understanding of engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear direction to team members.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently.

Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
