Engineering Manager

Role Overview: As an experienced Engineering Manager with 7-15 years of experience, you will be responsible for leading a squad of engineers in Bengaluru and ensuring high standards of execution, quality, and delivery. Your role will involve coaching engineers, owning solution architecture within company standards, and ensuring reliable shipping within TCO guardrails. Key Responsibilities: - Sprint planning, backlog health, and release predictability. - Defining clear definitions of Ready & Done criteria. - Breaking down epics, writing/critiquing ADRs, and running spikes. - Aligning with Staff-defined golden paths for solution architecture. - Implementing SLOs, error budgets, automated tests, and progressive rollouts. - Leading incident response and conducting blameless postmortems. - Conducting 1:1s, creating growth plans, providing feedback, hiring, and onboarding. - Improving unit economics (/trip, /API-10k, /GB, /instance-hour). - Specializing in one of the domains: Digital SaaS Platform, Geospatial Intelligence, Core Platform, Value Added Services, or Customer Experience. Qualifications: - Minimum 6 years of engineering experience with at least 13 years as a Tech Lead/Engineering Manager. - Proficiency in system/API design, data modeling, and event-driven patterns. - Ability to code/review critical paths effectively. - Strong communication skills and the ability to align cross-functionally. - Bonus points for experience in logistics, fintech, geo systems; proficiency in Python/FastAPI, Node/Go, React/RN/Vue; and familiarity with PostHog and OTel.
