Simnovus seeking an experienced Engineering Manager-Development & QA with a strong
background in Agile software development to lead our dynamic team of engineers in Bangalore. This role requires a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, including both Development and Quality Assurance, as well as hands-on technical leadership and HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a problem solver, and thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile software development teams of 7 or more engineers, including both Development and QA functions.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders in the US and EU, conducting regular meetings and status updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define goals, track progress, and deliver high-quality software products.
Participate in technical discussions and reviews, offering guidance and mentoring to team members.
Conduct code reviews and remain hands-on with development as needed.
Drive the adoption of best practices in software development and Agile methodologies.
Oversee task management using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Support occasional off-hours calls and collaboration with US-based teams.
Manage direct reports from an HR perspective, including 1:1s, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, career development, and team motivation.

Additional Requirements:

This is an onsite role based in our Bangalore office.
Must be flexible to occasionally work outside of regular business hours to collaborate with
US-based colleagues.
