Engineering Director - ServiceNow

Job Description

You are an enthusiastic engineering leader with expertise and interest in ServiceNow and AuditBoard. You can inspire engineering teams to implement a maintainable and efficiently operational Integrated Risk Management platform within the ServiceNow and AuditBoard ecosystems and integrate seamlessly with other American Express components in the Google Cloud Platform. Beyond engineering focused talents, you enjoy improving cross team cohesion, federated decision making, and mentoring for precise communication and agreement. Responsibilities: Provide hands-on engineering leadership to the team for implementing and operationalizing ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform. Define the architecture and infrastructure for ServiceNow platform Implement and Integrate the platform with American Express internal capabilities Coordinate and collaborate with multi-functional teams (authentication, infrastructure, data, etc) for operational aspects of ServiceNow. Establish upstream and downstream integrations using ServiceNow Integration Hub Platform support, maintain observability metrics, resiliency and business continuity Data management, storage and data protection Define release cycles, CI/CD approach and governance routines for the platform and oversee ongoing continuous deployment All stages of the software delivery life cycle for the ServiceNow platform Collaborate with business, product, and technology partners to solution complex technology and functional needs of the IRM platform Stay ahead of the vendor releases and take the ServiceNow IRM platform through patching and upgrade cycles Influence the product roadmap of ServiceNow to enable important platform level features Mentor, Coach, and Inspire engineers Advocate for ServiceNow standard process to American Express partners Required: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, or a related field - advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of technology leadership in a highly regulated environment Significant experience of delivery of complicated Governance, Risk and Compliance platforms Experience with ServiceNow IRM offerings Familiarity with AuditBoard Excellent knowledge of Common Service Data Model (CSDM 4.0) and ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) structure Beneficial Experience : Archer Google Cloud Platform US Regulated Financial Services experience Benefits include: Competitive base salaries Bonus incentives Support for financial-well-being and retirement Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits (depending on location) Flexible working model with hybrid, onsite or virtual arrangements depending on role and business need Generous paid parental leave policies (depending on your location) Free access to global on-site wellness centers staffed with nurses and doctors (depending on location) Free and confidential counseling support through our Healthy Minds program Career development and training opportunities
