Job Title: Engineer - Technical PublicationThe Engineer - Technical Publication will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for products and systems. This role involves collaborating with engineering, product management, and Marketing teams to gather and analyze information necessary for developing clear and comprehensive user manuals, technical guides, and other documentation formats.Additionally, the associate will be responsible for managing and maintaining spare parts, collaborating with different stakeholders, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain spare parts databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple sources.
- Work within SAP to extract, update, and manage spare parts and related data.
- Share the alternative Spare Part, Obsolete the spare Parts based on Spare Part Life Cycle and order history, Create Spare parts in the system, and mark them available for order.
- Maintain large data within multiple Excel sheets, Prepare Reports, and Dashboards
- Develop and produce high-quality technical documentation that clearly communicates complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand product functionality and gather necessary information for documentation.
- Edit and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Design and implement documentation templates that align with company standards and enhance user experience.
- Conduct usability testing of documentation to gather feedback for improvements.
- Manage documentation projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Utilize content management systems to maintain and organize documentation resources.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Diploma with min. 5 years of relevant experience, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical writing and documentation within an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate them into easy-to-understand content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with technical writing software and tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Creo, and IsoDraw,
- Knowledge of content management systems and version control procedures.
