ENGINEER - TECHNICAL PUBLICATION

Role Overview: As an Engineer - Technical Publication, your main responsibility will be to create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for products and systems. This will involve collaborating with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to develop clear and comprehensive user manuals, technical guides, and other documentation formats. Additionally, you will manage spare parts databases, collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple sources. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain spare parts databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency. - Extract, update, and manage spare parts and related data within SAP. - Identify alternative spare parts, obsolete spare parts based on life cycle and order history, create spare parts in the system, and make them available for order. - Maintain large data across multiple Excel sheets, prepare reports, and dashboards. - Develop high-quality technical documentation that effectively communicates complex technical information. - Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather necessary information for documentation. - Edit and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. - Design documentation templates according to company standards and improve user experience. - Conduct usability testing to gather feedback for documentation improvements. - Manage documentation projects to meet timelines and quality standards. - Utilize content management systems to organize documentation resources effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Communication or a related field. - Proven experience in technical writing and documentation within an engineering or technical environment. - Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to simplify them for various audiences. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. - Proficiency in technical writing software like Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, Creo, and IsoDraw. - Knowledge of content management systems and version control procedures.
