Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of our team, you will be responsible for alarm analysis, operation-maintenance, troubleshooting, and change request implementation on IP nodes such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and security gateways. Your role will involve trouble ticket analysis and resolution for issues raised by customers or L2 teams. You will actively monitor ITSM ticket queues to maintain Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR) and demonstrate analytical skills such as logical thinking, problem-solving, and effective task handling. Key Responsibilities: - Identify the root cause of incidents categorized as P0, P1, P2, P3, or P4, and recommend appropriate resolution actions, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for customer-identified events. - Act as the primary point of contact for support related to alarms, events, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), collaborating closely with the field team for hardware failures, node unreachability, and other field activities. - Ensure timely restoration of services to uphold good customer experience and high service availability, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and actively engaging in incident restoration or avoidance as required. - Perform node health checks, backups, and troubleshooting activities to maintain network integrity and share relevant details with respective teams for Maintenance Incident Reports (MIR) and Customer Service Requests (CSR). - Demonstrate end-to-end network understanding, handle third-party provider (3PP)/Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) relationships, provide problem management support, conduct data analytics, and oversee customer governance. Qualifications Required: - Good knowledge of IP networking protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP, BGP-LU, MPLS, Inter-AS, LDP, RSVP, TE, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, and Segment Routing. - Understanding of switching protocols including VLAN, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and HSRP, as well as familiarity with IP security protocols like IPSEC, GRE, VPN, and CGNat. - Proficiency in CISCO technologies, Spine-leaf Architecture, Border-Leaf Architecture, and VX-LAN, with additional expertise in telecom concepts related to 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G service flows and interfaces. - Product/vendor knowledge in CISCO is mandatory, while familiarity with Ericsson products is preferable. - Strong communication and troubleshooting skills along with 6-10 years of relevant experience in the IP domain are required for this role.,
