Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to provision, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, test, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation, and a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and environment enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Design, provision, and maintain secure and scalable AWS infrastructure environments across Dev, UAT, and Prod.
Build reusable IaC templates using Terraform or CloudFormation for rapid and consistent environment deployment.
Automate provisioning of compute, storage, networking, and security resources using CI/CD pipelines.
Configure and manage core AWS services including:
EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, CloudFront
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, ELK, or third-party APM tools.
Enable DevOps practices by integrating infrastructure with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
Enforce cloud security best practices, RBAC policies, and IAM role-based access controls.
Work closely with architects and developers to support cloud-native application deployment and performance tuning.
Perform cost optimization and resource right-sizing reviews periodically.
Troubleshoot and resolve environment or deployment issues quickly and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering and DevOps practices.
Strong proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
Solid experience with networking concepts (VPC, subnets, NAT gateways, route tables, security groups).
Experience in configuring and managing containerized workloads using ECS, Fargate, or EKS.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures using services like SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with logging and monitoring using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK, or Prometheus/Grafana.
Hands-on experience with IAM policies, KMS, Secrets Manager, and other AWS security services.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS Certification: Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator.
Experience supporting multi-account AWS environments with AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
Familiarity with Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and budget alarms for cloud cost governance.
Exposure to service mesh, API Gateway integrations, and hybrid architectures.
Experience with incident response, infrastructure DR planning, and compliance controls (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI).
