Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patients to determine their condition and the severity of their illness or injury.
• Initiate appropriate medical treatments, including resuscitation, stabilization, and management of life-threatening conditions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, ECGs, X-rays, and CT scans.
• Diagnose conditions based on patient symptoms, medical history, and test results.
• Perform emergency procedures, such as intubation, wound suturing, and fracture stabilization.
• Manage cardiac arrests, trauma cases, and other critical emergencies.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists or departments for further treatment when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including history, examination findings, treatments administered, and progress notes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families in distressing situations.
• Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and emergency care protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards of care.
  

Qualifications

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine or related field preferred.
• Valid medical license to practice in India.
• Experience in emergency care settings is highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
