Job Title : Electrician – Ferro Alloys Plant Company: Vandana Global Limited Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Department: Electrical Maintenance Reporting To: Electrical Supervisor / Plant Manager Experience: 3–7 years (preferably in ferro alloys, steel, or heavy industry) Job Purpose To ensure the uninterrupted operation of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment at the Ferro Alloys Plant by performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, motors, and control systems. Maintain and repair industrial furnaces, induction motors, EOT cranes, and PLC-based control panels used in ferro alloys production. Respond to electrical breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime of equipment. Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical systems and components using testing devices and tools. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and protocols. Support installation, commissioning, and upgradation of electrical equipment. Maintain maintenance logs, records, and report to supervisors on fault trends and preventive measures. Work collaboratively with mechanical and instrumentation teams for plant upkeep. Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures during major interventions. Identify and report potential hazards and contribute to a safe working environment. Qualifications and Skills Education: ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute. Experience: 3–7 years in a similar role in a ferro alloys, steel, or heavy manufacturing industry. Good knowledge of electrical diagrams, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance. Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems, switchgear, and industrial automation is preferred. Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns independentl y.
