• Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth functioning of all electrical systems, equipment, and utilities in the pharmaceutical plant by performing installation, maintenance, and repair activities in compliance with safety standards, GMP requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance & Operations
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical panels, wiring, motors, HVAC systems, boilers, and production equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement timely repairs to avoid production downtime.
• Perform routine inspection and testing of electrical systems as per schedule.
• Installation & Commissioning
• Install and maintain electrical fixtures, panels, machines, and utility systems.
• Assist in commissioning of new equipment and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain logbooks, maintenance records, and breakdown reports.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with GMP, cGMP, GEP, and safety regulations.
• Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for maintenance activities.
• Safety & Compliance
• Adhere to electrical safety standards and use proper PPE while performing tasks.
• Support EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives in the plant.
• Report any unsafe condition, near miss, or incident immediately.
• Coordination & Support
• Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Support external contractors/vendors during electrical system-related work.
• Participate in audits and regulatory inspections as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a pharmaceutical / chemical / manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, PLC basics, and instrumentation will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance in pharma environment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Awareness of safety procedures and EHS compliance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Conditions:

• Plant-based role; requires working in shifts as per company policy.
• May need to be available on call for emergency maintenance.
