Electrical Site Engineer

Job description

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Assist in executing electrical installation works at client sites.
• Supervise technicians, helpers, and contractors during installation.
• Ensure all work is performed as per engineering drawings and instructions.
• Support cable routing, earthing installation, LPS (Lightning Protection System) installation, and testing.

2. Testing & Measurement

• Perform basic electrical tests (earth resistance, continuity, insulation tests).
• Record measurements and compare with project specifications.
• Support the commissioning process under senior engineers guidance.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with clients for daily site progress and material requirements.
• Communicate schedule updates to Project Manager / Service Manager.
• Work with Stores/Dispatch for material availability and site delivery.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site progress reports (DPR).
• Collect and compile service sheets, installation checklists, and test reports.
• Update photographs, measurements, and site status in required formats.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all site safety rules and ensure technicians comply with safety guidelines.
• Use PPE and ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Report hazards, incidents, or deviations immediately.
