Electrical Design Manager (Industrial Projects)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned projects and teams, focusing on capacity building, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement with all customers
• Good understanding of electrical concepts like three phase power calculations.
• Good understanding of complex power calculation and estimation.
• Design and review of electrical distribution systems for industrial, residential and commercial building applications
• Preparation/ checking of single line diagram with protection and metering requirement.
• Preparation/ checking of detailed calculation for major electrical equipment like transformer, DGs, Capacitor bank, UPS, Battery & Battery charger, Neutral Grounding resistor, etc.
• Preparation/ checking of detailed design calculation for earthing, lighting, cable sizing, cable tray/ trench sizing, lightning Protection, etc
• Preparation/ checking electrical Load list, cable schedule.
• Preparation/ checking of Electrical Layouts like earthing, lighting, cable tray/ trench, Fire alarm system, telephone system, public address system, etc.
• Understanding/ checking of substation automation system.
• Vendor document review (Electrical equipment).
• Understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation
• Contributes design modification to uphold design quality.

Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems are designed meeting internal standards and other relevant IS/IEC standards

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 14+ Years of professional experience in Electrical Design Industrial Projects: FMCG, Warehouse, Manufacturing Unit and hands on experience in Commercial Projects: IT Companies, Hospitals, Commercial malls will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Etap, DIALux, etc are desirable
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NEC, NBC, IS, IEC, and UL.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills preferred
