Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design & Drafting

• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Develop and maintain accurate electrical layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design software.
• Create and update single-line diagrams (SLDs) for various panel board configurations.

Component Selection & Specifications

• Identify and select appropriate electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, meters, busbars, cables, and switchgear.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), datasheets, and technical specifications for procurement.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications and functional requirements.

Standards & Compliance

• Ensure all designs adhere to IEC, IS, and IEEE standards, as well as client-specific requirements.
• Apply best practices for electrical safety, load balancing, and fault protection.
• Perform cable sizing, load calculations, and protection coordination studies.

Coordination & Project Support

• Work closely with the Production, QA/QC, and Procurement teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Provide technical support during panel fabrication, wiring, testing, and site commissioning.
• Liaise with customers and project managers to clarify requirements and address technical queries.

Documentation & Quality

• Prepare and maintain all technical documents, including revision control of drawings.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
