Key Responsibilities:

• Design, simulate, and develop power processing units (PPU) for electric propulsion systems such as ion thrusters, Hall-effect thrusters, electrospray propulsion, and plasma engines.

• Develop and implement high-voltage circuits, control electronics, and power regulation systems for propulsion modules.

• Perform PCB design, schematic capture, component selection, and hardware architecture definition.

• Work with the propulsion team to integrate electrical systems with thrusters, sensors, and flight computers.

• Support development of embedded firmware or control algorithms for system operation and telemetry.

• Conduct electrical testing, environmental qualification, EMI/EMC analysis, and space-grade reliability assessment.

• Generate technical documentation, research papers, design reports, and testing protocols.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on avionics, propulsion, structures, and mission integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering

• Strong knowledge of:

o Power electronics and high-voltage systems and PCB design tools (KiCAD/Altium/OrCAD)

o Embedded systems and microcontrollers.

o HV insulation, arcing prevention, and vacuum operation constraints

• Hands-on experience in designing and testing hardware prototypes.

Preferred Experience (Added Advantage)

• Experience in space-grade electronics development or satellite subsystems (EPS, ADCS, avionics).

• Familiarity with electric propulsion systems or plasma physics.

• Knowledge of electrospray thrusters, ion propulsion, or Hall-effect thruster systems.
