Education & Outreach Officer

The Education Officer will play a crucial role in advancing Friendicoes SECA’s mission through the development and delivery of impactful education and awareness programs on animal welfare. This multifaceted role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively engage with diverse audiences, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of our programs. The successful candidate will be passionate about animal welfare, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities 1. Education & Awareness Program Development & Delivery: Develop, design, and produce high-quality Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials tailored for various age groups and settings (e.g., schools, community groups, corporate events). This includes presentations, brochures, posters, activity sheets, and digital content. Deliver engaging and informative awareness sessions, workshops, and presentations in schools, colleges, community centers, corporate offices, and other relevant settings across Delhi NCR, including regular travel to Greater Noida and Gurgaon. Adapt educational content to suit the needs and understanding of different target audiences. Promote responsible pet ownership, animal empathy, and awareness of animal cruelty issues. 2. Project Coordination: Contribute to the implementation, and monitoring of assigned education and awareness projects. Share program updates with donors and maintain clear communication. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities, participant data, and outcomes. Coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and stakeholders to support program implementation to ensure seamless project execution and achievement of objectives. Prepare regular progress reports, updates, and presentations for the reporting manager and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure all project activities are completed within established timelines and budget. 3. Stakeholder Engagement & Networking: Build and nurture a strong network of schools, educational institutions, corporates and local communities/animal lovers across Delhi NCR for future collaborations and program expansion. Foster positive relationships with volunteers, teachers, and other individuals who can support our education programs. 4. General Responsibilities: Contribute to the continuous improvement of education and awareness strategies based on feedback and impact assessment. Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the reporting manager to support the overall goals of the organization. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
