Education Counsellor

Role & responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents on PUC (Commerce & Science) and UG programs (B.Com, BBA, BCA).
  
• Explain course structure, eligibility criteria, fee details, and admission procedures clearly and accurately.
  
• Manage, track, and follow up on leads generated through calls, walk-ins, online enquiries, and events.
  
• Convert enquiries into admissions and achieve assigned weekly/monthly enrollment targets.
  
• Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, schools, and other stakeholders.
  
• Assist applicants throughout the admission process, including application form completion and document verification.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate collection, verification, and submission of required admission documents.
  
• Maintain updated records of leads, counselling interactions, and admissions in CRM/Excel systems.
  
• Prepare and submit regular admission performance and MIS reports to management.
  
• Collect market feedback and competitor insights to support improvement in admission strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Kannada and/or Hindi preferred.
  
• Proven ability to achieve admission or sales targets in a competitive environment.
  
• Good counselling, persuasion, and negotiation skills with a student-centric approach.
  
• Experience in handling leads, walk-ins, follow-ups, and conversions.

• Presentable, confident, and capable of handling parent interactions effectively.
  
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
