The Edge Originals is building one of India’s fastest-scaling YouTube-first news and storytelling platforms, and we’re looking for a visionary Editor-in-Chief to lead our editorial strategy, newsroom, and content ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can combine sharp news instincts, editorial credibility, and digital-first growth thinking.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the editorial vision, strategy, and execution across YouTube and other digital platforms.

Manage and mentor a team of reporters, anchors, and content creators — ensuring high-quality, accurate, and impactful journalism.

Drive content innovation — experiment with formats like ground reports, explainers, documentaries, shorts, and live coverage.

Maintain strong editorial standards while balancing audience growth and monetization goals.

Identify and execute exclusive stories, high-profile interviews, and viral narratives.

Collaborate with business and digital marketing teams to align editorial output with brand positioning.

Represent The Edge Originals at industry forums, events, and collaborations.

What We’re Looking For:

10–15 years of experience in news media / digital media / television, with proven editorial leadership.

Strong news judgment and a keen eye for trends, storytelling formats, and audience engagement.

Ability to build, lead, and inspire teams under tight deadlines and in dynamic environments.

Network of contacts across media, politics, business, and entertainment — able to secure exclusives and collaborations.

Strong grasp of digital content strategy, YouTube ecosystem, and social media virality mechanics.

Balance of editorial integrity with an entrepreneurial mindset.
