Economics Teacher

We are looking for an exceptional Economics Teacher to teach grades 9 to 12, who can translate economic theory into meaningful, real-world learning and instil a deep understanding of global and national economic landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver well-planned and conceptually sound lessons in Economics, aligned with ISC and ICSE curricula.
• Use interactive and student-centric teaching methods — including debates, case studies, simulations, and project-based learning — to make Economics engaging and relevant.
• Encourage critical thinking and data-driven analysis, helping students draw connections between theory and current economic events.
• Design assessments that promote deep understanding and application of concepts.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and independent learning.
• Actively participate in the broader life of the school — including academic events, student mentorship, and extracurricular activities.
• Keep up-to-date with global economic trends and pedagogical innovations to continuously enrich classroom practices.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience at the senior secondary level.
• Familiarity with the CIE curricula will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in a boarding school environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to simplify complex economic theories and present them in a compelling, accessible manner.
• A growth mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to the values of holistic education.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable with using digital tools and learning management systems in the classroom.
