The Role

Retention Marketing Expert

first purchase → repeat purchase → loyalty → ultimate brand advocacy


What You’ll Do

Retention & Loyalty Strategy

  • Build a complete retention roadmap: flows, automations, and campaigns across Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Push.
  • Design customer journeys that

    increase repeat purchases, shorten reorder cycles, and build habits

    that make supplements part of a pet parent’s daily routine.
  • Move customers through loyalty phases—first-time → repeat → loyalist → advocate.


LTV Growth & Analytics

  • Track and optimize

    LTV, retention curves, churn, reorder intervals, and loyalty metrics

    .
  • Execute strategies to

    increase LTV by 30% in 60 days and 100%+ in 12 months

    .
  • Tie retention performance directly to

    cash flow and growth goals

    .


Copywriting & Campaign Execution

  • Write

    high-converting copy

    for emails, WhatsApp flows, and SMS that resonates emotionally with pet parents.
  • Create campaigns that mix

    education, storytelling, and direct response

    to drive action.
  • Test subject lines, hooks, offers, and storytelling angles relentlessly.


Systems, Tools & Automation

  • Build and manage advanced retention flows in

    Klaviyo, QuickReply, and equivalent platforms

    .
  • Use

    ChatGPT and automation tools

    to streamline workflows and generate insights.
  • Create and optimize reporting dashboards that give a

    real-time pulse of retention performance

    .


Leadership & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the founder and growth team to integrate retention into the overall marketing engine.
  • Be a

    natural leader

    : set processes, assign tasks, and push for continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of

    e-commerce retention trends

    and bring fresh strategies to the table.


What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in

    retention marketing for D2C e-commerce

    .
  • Proven success in scaling

    Email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Push Notification channels

    .
  • Platform expertise in

    Klaviyo, QuickReply, and equivalents

    .
  • Strong

    copywriting skills

    (you must be able to write your own campaigns, not just brief them).
  • Solid understanding of

    LTV, cash flow, churn reduction, and customer loyalty models

    .
  • Proficiency with

    ChatGPT and prompting

    + strong grasp of

    automation workflows

    .
  • Ability to design strategies that

    improve reorder cycles, habit formation, and loyalty-driven LTV growth

    .
  • Must be a dog parent


Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in pet, wellness, or supplement brands.
  • Ability to create content assets yourself (bonus, not required).

Role Details
  • Type:

  • Compensation:

    ₹50,000 – ₹75,000/month (based on experience)
  • Growth Path:

    Head of Retention / Lifecycle Marketing Lead as we scale
