Role summary

An E-commerce Executive manages day-to-day online store operations to drive sales, improve customer experience, and ensure accurate product listings. This role combines merchandising, order management, content updates, customer support, and basic digital-marketing tasks on marketplaces and own-website platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Create, optimize and publish product listings (titles, descriptions, bullets, specs, SKUs).
  • Upload and manage product images and variants; ensure image & content quality.
  • Price management, promotions, coupon setup and marketplace-specific offers.
  • Inventory coordination with stores/warehouse; update stock to avoid OOS.
  • Process and monitor orders, returns and refunds; coordinate with logistics/fulfillment.
  • Respond to customer queries and reviews on marketplace/product pages.
  • Monitor daily sales and marketplace dashboards; generate simple performance reports.
  • Implement basic SEO for product pages (keywords, meta tags).
  • Coordinate with digital marketing for paid campaigns, creatives and landing pages.
  • Track competitor listings, pricing and make recommendations.
  • Help run marketplace advertising (e.g., Sponsored Products) and monitor ROAS.
  • Ensure compliance with marketplace policies, accurate GST/HSN details and product certifications where required.

Required skills & experience

  • 1–3 years experience in e-commerce/online retail OR retail + marketplace exposure.
  • Comfortable with marketplace Seller Central / Vendor Central / Magento / Shopify / WooCommerce or similar.
  • Good written English (product descriptions) and basic SEO awareness.
  • Basic Excel skills (filters, VLOOKUP, simple formulas).
  • Customer-service orientation and experience handling order queries.
  • Attention to detail for listings, SKUs and inventory accuracy.
  • Familiarity with marketplace policies (Amazon/Flipkart/Myntra/etc.) is a plus.

Preferred

  • Experience running sponsored ads on marketplaces or Google/Facebook basics.
  • Ability to create simple banners/graphics (Canva) and product copy.
  • Knowledge of logistics partners and return workflows.
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, marketplace dashboards).

KPIs (examples)

  • Monthly GMV / sales targets.
  • Conversion rate of product pages.
  • Average fulfillment time / order processing time.
  • Rate of stockouts and listing errors.
  • Customer rating / average review score.

Day-to-day tools

  • Marketplaces: Amazon/Flipkart/Myntra (as applicable)
  • CMS/e-commerce platform: Shopify/Magento/WooCommerce
  • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Google Analytics / Marketplace analytics
  • Canva / basic image tool

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
