E-commerce Head (ops & marketing)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic E-Commerce Head to lead our digital commerce initiatives across domestic and international markets. This role requires deep experience in e-commerce operations, marketplace management, digital marketing, and customer-centric innovation. The ideal candidate will combine business acumen with technical know-how to drive online growth and deliver an exceptional luxury shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. E-Commerce Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute a robust e-commerce strategy aligned with the company s vision and sales goals.
Lead D2C online sales and expand presence on marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Tata CLiQ, Myntra, Ajio).
Build a seamless omnichannel customer journey integrated with offline stores.
2. Jewellery-Specific Digital Experience
Curate and manage online product displays with a focus on high-value SKUs, collections, and customization options.
Oversee UI/UX enhancements tailored to jewellery shoppers including features like virtual try-on, ring sizing, and live chat consultations.
Ensure accurate cataloging, pricing, and detailed product content for all listings.
3. Marketplace & International Operations
Manage domestic and international marketplaces including India, UAE, USA, and UK platforms.
Optimize performance on platforms like Amazon India/US, Noon.com, and others.
Coordinate with channel partners to improve visibility, reviews, and category rankings.
4. Performance Marketing & Analytics
Oversee digital marketing performance across paid search, social media, affiliate, and remarketing channels.
Track KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLTV).
Use tools like Google Analytics and CRM dashboards to generate actionable insights.
5. Inventory, Supply Chain & Fulfillment
Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure inventory accuracy and fulfillment SLAs.
Monitor logistics and packaging for jewellery-grade quality and customer satisfaction.
Manage returns, repairs, and after-sales support processes.
6. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build and lead a team of e-commerce executives, content creators, and operations staff.
Coordinate with marketing, IT, merchandising, and finance to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Manage external vendors and agencies for tech, SEO, and digital ad campaigns.
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience in retail jewellery , with at least 5 years leading e-commerce initiatives.
Strong understanding of digital commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, etc.
Proven success managing jewellery-specific operations including pricing, SKU management, and catalog curation.
Hands-on experience with online marketplaces and international e-commerce.
Data-driven approach with strong command of Google Analytics and marketing metrics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Exposure to omni-channel strategy in premium or luxury jewellery brands.
Experience with international shipping, customs, and local compliance
Familiarity with jewellery certifications, BIS hallmarking, gold rates integration, etc.
