E-Commerce Finance Accountant – Fashion & Apparel Brand

Salary & Location

• Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned E-Commerce Accountant to oversee reconciliation, reporting, and financial record-keeping across online marketplaces and internal platforms. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of experience handling high-volume e-commerce transactions for fashion or D2C brands.

Responsibilities

• Marketplace & Payment Reconciliation:

Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of sales, refunds, commissions, and settlements from Amazon, Flipkart, and other platforms.

• Transaction Accounting & GL Entries:

Manage accounts receivable/payable, general ledger entries, maintain accurate books of accounts in software like Tally, Zoho, or QuickBooks.

• Inventory & Cost Tracking:

Coordinate with inventory teams, reconcile stock movements across warehouses and marketplaces, assist in COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) calculations.

• Tax & Statutory Compliance:

Ensure timely filing and reconciliation for GST (including GSTR-1, 3B, GSTR-2B), TDS, and other statutory requirements.

• Financial Reporting & MIS:

Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and marketplace-specific sales reports to inform leadership decisions.

• Vendor, Payment & Expense Management:

Maintain vendor payments and aging schedules; resolve discrepancies in chargebacks or marketplace deductions

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3–5 years in e-commerce accounting, especially with Amazon, Flipkart, and other online platforms.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of marketplace reconciliation, inventory accounting, and compliance for D2C/fashion brands.
• Analytical Skills: Sharp attention to detail, accuracy-driven, and experienced in handling volume transactions.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal English for reporting, coordination, and compliance documentation.
