Mortgage Due Diligence Specialist

Join our client, a growing team as a Mortgage Due Diligence Specialist and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our loan portfolio.

You will be responsible for a comprehensive review and verification of loan documentation, meticulous credit risk assessment, and confirmation of adherence to investor guidelines. Your keen eye for detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying potential risks and providing actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Loan File Review & Verification:

  Scrutinize loan files, including applications, income verification, credit reports, purchase contracts, and lease agreements, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

• Compliance Assurance:

  Verify loan compliance with all applicable investor guidelines and regulatory requirements.

• Credit Risk Analysis:

  Evaluate borrower creditworthiness by thoroughly analyzing credit scores, financial statements, and other pertinent financial data.

• Property Valuation Assessment:

  Review property appraisals to validate alignment with current market conditions and assess the associated risk profile.

• Risk Identification:

  Proactively identify discrepancies, missing information, potential fraud indicators, and other red flags within loan files.

• Reporting & Analysis:

  Generate comprehensive reports detailing compliance issues, documentation deficiencies, and any risks impacting loan performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Partner effectively with underwriting and loan origination teams to resolve identified issues and ensure seamless loan processing.
