Overview:
DRE – Interior Trim
Responsibilities:
- Designing and modeling of Interior Plastic Components.

Design review with Global Technical Centre Team

Packaging, Manufacturing and assembly feasibility study of trims components

Create Technical data sheet and DVP&R for the new components.
- Create DVPR /DFMEA for the trim components and align with the supplier/team.
- CAD Data finalization of design before Step releases and TKO Packaging and clearance studies of trim components with the surrounding parts to make sure that part is within the specification.
- Coordinate with the CAE team to makes sure that part is meeting the components target and meeting the functional requirements of the system Co-ordinate design release/TKO sign-off processes and ensure targets are met according to project timeline.
- Benchmarking study as and when required.

Interaction with supplier, PLM activities, Development Coordination, CFT Coordination, DVPR testing coordination with supplier and coordination with the CFT to get the checklist approval in PLM on every project milestone.

Design Support for the analysis teams (Impact, Durability and NVH) to meet various Regulatory and test requirements
Qualifications:
B.E./B. Tech or M.E/ M. Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production and Industrial Engineering
Essential skills:
- Product Design & development experience in automotive Trim Components: Hard Trim (Pillar Trim, Scuff Plates, Quarter trim and Lift gate) Soft Trim (Headliner, Carpet, Dash insulator and Firewall Insulator)

Working experience in Component & System level designing.

Expertise in UG or CATIA modeling, Surfacing and Ennovia.

Good Knowledge in Manufacturing & Assembly feasibility study.

Work experience with International Tier 1 and OEMS.

Knowledge in Injection molding process.

Good presentation and communication skills.
Desired skills:
Proficiency in Motion Simulation & UG Customization.
Good knowledge on Manufacturing process (Thermoforming, Molding, Compression molding etc. and Plastic Materials)
Expertise in UG & Team center is mandatory.
Knowledge in MS-Office or Google G-Suite
Knowledge in CATIA and Enovia is an additional requirement
