Role Overview:

The Draughtsman will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or project managers. The role requires strong attention to detail, precision, and proficiency in design software to ensure drawings meet industry and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts, and plans for projects (mechanical, civil, electrical, or architectural, as applicable).
• Interpret and convert concepts, designs, and sketches into professional drawings.
• Update and revise existing drawings as per modifications and client/management feedback.
• Ensure accuracy, scalability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Maintain a systematic filing system for all drawings and related documents.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure clarity and accuracy of drawings.
• Support procurement and operations teams by providing accurate drawings for fabrication, installation, or execution.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and other drafting/design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp – as per requirement).
• Good understanding of engineering/architectural principles and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings/projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/ITI in Draughtsmanship (Civil/Mechanical/Architectural, depending on role).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (freshers with strong drafting skills can also be considered).
• Knowledge of industry-specific codes, standards, and practices preferred.
