Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Welding and Casting Equipment Department: Maintenance / Engineering Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head Job Purpose: The role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of welding equipment (both manual and robotic) and casting equipment to ensure smooth production operations. This includes spot welding guns, electro-pneumatic welding fixtures, and robotic welding systems. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Welding Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of manual and robotic spot welding guns. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in welding equipment. Calibrate and maintain welding parameters to ensure quality and safety. Robotic Systems Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance of robotic welding systems, including end-effectors and controllers. Troubleshoot faults related to robot programming, electrical circuits, and pneumatic systems. Electro-Pneumatic Welding Fixture Maintenance: Maintain and repair electro-pneumatic welding fixtures used in production lines. Ensure proper functioning of sensors, actuators, pneumatic valves, and control systems. Casting Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on casting equipment to avoid downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to maintain process stability. Breakdown and Preventive Maintenance: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production loss. Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all welding and casting equipment. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, breakdown analysis, and corrective actions. Report recurring issues and suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety standards and ensure proper functioning of safety devices in welding and casting equipment. Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement in workplace safety. Desired Candidate Profile: Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering. Experience: 4–8 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of welding (manual and robotic) and casting equipment. Key Skills: Expertise in spot welding gun maintenance (manual & robotic). Knowledge of robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar preferred). Proficient in troubleshooting electro-pneumatic welding fixtures. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
