Job Description

The Mission: We are seeking a seasoned operational leader to direct the engineering execution of our Threat Research Unit. In this role, you will partner directly with the Global Leadership to translate high-level strategic vision into delivered engineering outcomes. You must possess a rare blend of deep domain expertise in the vulnerability and threat landscape (Zero-days, CVEs, Exploits) and rigorous software engineering leadership to drive operational excellence at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead rapid response engineering efforts for critical vulnerabilities and Zero-Day events. Ensure the team moves with velocity and precision to deliver accurate technical remediations within strict SLAs that prioritize accuracy and timely response.
  • Institutionalize enterprise-grade software engineering practices. Drive the continuous evolution of the SDLC, enforcing strict coding standards, comprehensive testing frameworks, and CI/CD automation to maximize developer velocity and code quality.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for critical and marquee customer inquiries. You will address complex questions regarding technical discrepancies, resolve disputes, and manage technical client relationships, allowing the core research team to maintain its focus on building.
  • Translate strategic goals defined by Leadership into actionable engineering sprints. You will own the delivery lifecycle, ensuring high-priority initiatives are executed on time and to specification.
  • Manage the day-to-day throughput of the team, including queue management, KPI tracking, and resource allocation for a large-scale team of engineers and researchers to maximize efficiency.
  • transparent reporting on execution metrics, proactively identifying risks and managing cross-functional dependencies to ensure unblocked delivery.

The Must-Haves (Requirements)

  • 10+ years in Cybersecurity with a profound understanding of Vulnerability Management, Exploitation techniques, and the global Threat Landscape.
  • Proven background managing software development teams with a focus on modern DevOps practices. You must be technically fluent in modern scripting and compiled languages, with expertise in cloud-native stacks, and can review and enforce code quality.
  • Demonstrated experience leading major incident response efforts for critical industry security events. You excel at maintaining an organized and calm command during high-pressure situations.
  • exceptional ability to articulate technical root causes to external stakeholders. You possess the executive presence to de-escalate concerns and build trust with technical customers through demonstrated competence.
  • A track record of delivering complex security products or engineering projects on aggressive timelines.
  • Experience leading high-performing regional teams while seamlessly aligning with global strategic direction.
