What You Will Be Doing
- Designing academic frameworks that apply learning science to inform curriculum development, motivation architecture, and application design.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams are coordinated, accountable, and achieving outcomes.
- Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensuring strategic alignment via planning, continuous feedback, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as the external representative of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, including keynote addresses and engagements with Ministries of Education, advancing systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

Director Of Academic Excellence Key Responsibilities
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across school sites, raising leadership performance expectations, and emerging as the authoritative public voice of a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
- Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
