Designation:

Educational Qualification:

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development from a recognized university.
  • Additional certifications in Strategic HR, Leadership Development, or Industrial Relations will be an advantage.

Age: 40 to 55 years

Experience:

  • 1525 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in universities or in the reputed higher education institutions
  • Proven track record in strategic HR planning, policy formulation, and institutional HR governance.
  • Strong exposure to managing large and diverse teams across academic, administrative, and technical domains.
  • Demonstrated ability in talent management, extensive experience of handling payroll process and compliance like TDS, PF, PT etc. Succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Experience in labor law compliance, employee relations, and regulatory frameworks in the education industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in HR digitization initiatives (HRMS, ERP, ATS) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills with senior academic and administrative leaders.

Role Summary:

Executive HR Director

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the university’s HR strategy in alignment with academic and institutional goals.
  • Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition strategies for senior faculty, researchers, and administrative leaders.
  • Develop HR policies, frameworks, and processes to support academic excellence, innovation, and employee well-being.
  • Drive performance management, learning & development, leadership programs, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, university regulatory frameworks, and statutory requirements (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR practices.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and employee welfare programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
  • Lead change management initiatives, cultural transformation, and HR digitization projects.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to HR managers and senior executives across different HR functions.
  • Represent the university in HR forums, academic collaborations, and external bodies.
  • Prepare HR dashboards and reports for the Board of Management and statutory committees.
  • Promote a positive work culture with a focus on innovation, accountability, and academic collaboration.
